Catering

  • Catering during breaks for conference participants is important and is provided by a caterer. Helpers support the caterer with various tasks during the event.
  • Task details will follow after consultation with the caterer

Chair

Chair - voluntary

The chair moderates the respective track, announces the lecture and speakers and provides organizational information to the participants. The chair is on site and moderates from the lecture hall. Please mention that participants should formulate their questions about the presentation via the online platform.

  • Tasks
    • Ensures that the lecture starts and ends on time.
    • Is the auditorium assistant and video assistant there? If not, inform the director (preferably via channel on the lecture hall tablet)
    • It is particularly important to adhere to the time grid so that participants can switch between tracks at any time.
    • Presentation 20 min
    • Question and answer 5 min
    • Break to change tracks 5 min
    • Chair agrees signs with the speaker. E.g. open hand or hold up a laminated piece of paper for 5 minutes, 3 minutes, 1 minute.
  • Introduction of the lecture: short introductory words to the lecturer, the name should come fluently over the lips also with Prof. Dr. Dr. Geo. Wlædchrøv Zlot¢iktrl.

  • There is at least one responsible person in each lecture hall who, together with the chair, supports the lecture hall and the lecturers.
  • Tasks
    • Supervise lecture hall technology and speakers
    • familiarize with the technology in advance (lighting, blinds, audio and video equipment)
    • Supply the presenters with water (from catering)
    • Coordinate the placement of the participants so that not everyone sits on the outside
    • Microphone, carry the microphone around in case of questions from the audience
    • Save presentation as PDF on laptop/USB stick in the room (please point this out to the speaker and check, then collect and save)

The Welcome Desk is the service point for all participants. The Welcome Desk is where ticket check-in takes place, bags, T-shirts and conference proceedings are issued and participants' questions are answered.
